Harpers Ferry KOA is located conveniently less then a mile from the Visitor Center of Harpers Ferry National Historical Park in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia.

The first year we went in early September, the campground was not full. We went the next year on Value Card Rewards weekend and the campground was full. When the campground is full the sites definitely feel a lot closer together. The sites in general are relatively small, and a lot of them are on hills.

The sites in the back of the campground have the feel of being in the woods. The ones up front that are for the Big Rigs is more like a big parking lot feel.

Charlotte loved the jumping pillow! They also have giant chess for kids, a pool (we have always gone in off season so haven’t been), mini golf, and pedal cart rentals.

In non-COVID there is a great activity schedule. Wine tasting is available for adults as well!
Review: If you don’t mind the sites being on the small side and a little close to your neighbors, this is a great campground. The location can’t be beat for exploring Harpers ferry National Historic Park and it has a lot of fun things to keep the kids entertained!
