This is more to safe your sanity on long car rides then for fun, but we have found this DVD player works best for us. Food Related

Portable Propane Grill

Probably our favorite item we have bought for camping is a propane gas grill. This is a huge time saver when you arrive at the campsite hungry or the fire is taking a while to start. We make everything on this from burgers and hot dogs to foil packet salsa chicken.

Single Serve Keurig

Another one of my favorite kitchen items is the single serve Keurig. Its slim, making it easy to store in a tiny space. We were using a regular coffee maker, but I found by the time I woke up the first round was already cold. I need my coffee fast and hot in the morning! Salad Storage Container

We go hiking a lot when we camp, and I like to eat a healthy on the go lunch. It can be difficult to find something gluten free so salad is usually my go to. These containers are great for keeping everything separate (especially the dressing) until its time to eat. (To purchase click on the image to link to the Amazon website)

Stainless Steel Water Bottle

We have all tried a bunch of different water bottles, but the one that by far keeps ice solid and drinks cool the longest is the latest one we bought my daughter. Its also easy to carry and comes with different options for the top. Comes in lots of great color choices (To purchase click on the image to link to the Amazon website). Less than $20

Outdoor Gear

Rain Jackets

Rain Jackets are a must for setting up in the rain, hiking in the rain, and just staying dry in general. These are my favorites, they are lightweight enough to wear in the summer and you can layer with warmer clothes in the winter. (To purchase click on the image to link to the Amazon website)

Womens Waterproof Rain Jacket (comes in a variety of colors!) Around $30

Kids Columbia Rain Jackets (lots of colors available!) A great investment at around $30

Hiking Shoes

Good, waterproof hiking shoes are important if you are planning to do hiking while camping. These are my favorites. I always size up atleast a size to account for swelling (To purchase click on the image to link to the Amazon website)

Columbia Womens Waterproof Hiking Shoe

If there are puddles, my kids will step in them, so a waterproof hiking shoe is a must for them. We have had great luck with these, and they are low in cost which is great for growing feet. At around $35 you won’t go broke trying to buy them every year your kids feet grow!

Space Heater

Yes, we have propane heat in our camper. We find it very loud when it clicks on and off, plus we have to monitor our propane levels. We picked up this inexpensive space heater and we love it! Its small and heats up our space quickly. (To purchase click on the image to link to the Amazon website)

For Organization

We also love this for the inside of our kitchen cabinet to store aluminum foil, plastic bags, and trashbags.

For Tent Camping

Tent

For a great tent, we had this 8 person Coleman tent for years. Kept the moisture out, and the best part was we could fit 3 queen sized air mattresses next to each other on the floor of the tent. Plenty of room for 4 people and their stuff! (To purchase click on the image to link to the Amazon website)

Coleman Montana 8 person tent (pricepoint around $160)

Air Mattresses

In my opinion Air Mattresses are a must for tent camping! Nobody wants to sleep on a rock all night and a good nights sleep is key to enjoying a camping trip. At around $30 we feel the Intex ones hold up great! Make sure you get a single high as a higher bed may not fit through the door once blown up. (To purchase click on the image to link to the Amazon website)

Intex Air Mattress

Car Power Inverter

This is a great tool for places with no electric hookups. You can plug in anything from air pumps for air mattresses and tubes, to toasters running off of the cars battery. A must for dry camping! (To purchase click on the image to link to the Amazon website)
