Orlando/ Kissimmee KOA Holiday review

This was our second visit to Orlando/Kissimmee KOA. Both visits we have used the campground more as a place to sleep to see other things in the area. It’s about a 20 minute drive to the Disney or Universal Parks, as well as Disney Springs and City Walk.

The campground is small in size and never seems to be busy, as most people are using it to visit the parks (Disney and Universal). The sites are flat and come with a concrete patio area.

The kids enjoyed the jumping pillow and playground, and there is as small swing set as well. We didn’t bring our pups on this trip, but there is a small fenced in dog run area (you can see some of it behind the jumping pillow). The kids really only had free time in the mornings, but still managed to make a few friends.

The showers were separate from the bathroom area and each shower had a separate door from the outside. I never experienced a wait for a shower even in the morning. They were nice and hot!

The pool/hot tub is always one of the highlights of our trip! The pool is heated and unlike some heated pools actually feels like it! We were able to swim at night when the temperatures went into the 50s. The hot tub was also nice for soaking tired feet after a day in the parks. We never ran into anyone else in the pool area at night but it was January and on the chilly side.

Four years ago when we first stayed here we discovered an amazing restaurant in walking distance from the KOA, Poblanos Authentic Mexican. Not only is the food amazing, but the prices are a welcome relief from theme park prices ($2.50 tacos and $8 margaritas for example) Highly recommend a stop!
